The engineered mesh upper is soft and breathable, with a secure fit through the heel and midfoot. There is also more room in the forefoot than you would normally expect from a Hoka road shoe, while the padded tongue, comfort collar and shaped Achilles tab help keep the fit comfortable over longer distances.

Underfoot, the high stack of cushioning provides plenty of protection without feeling overly soft or sluggish.
