Description

The Hoka Speedgoat 7 is a trail running shoe designed to perform across a wide range of terrain and distances, from steady daily runs to ultra-distance races. The ride is responsive and suits runners who like a quicker feel underfoot while still benefiting from the protection of a high-stack trail shoe. Compared to the previous version, the Speedgoat 7 is more versatile and better suited to uneven and broken ground.

The midsole is made from a super critical EVA compound which provides a controlled level of cushioning with noticeable rebound. There is some compression on impact but the shoe does not feel soft or unstable, allowing you to maintain pace over long runs. Despite this firmer, more responsive feel, the cushioning reduces fatigue and impact-related stiffness during longer efforts. The 40mm heel and 35mm forefoot stack feel lower and more stable when running, helped by the rocker-shaped geometry.

The Vibram Megagrip outsole delivers reliable traction on wet and dry rock, hard-packed trails and mixed surfaces. The 5mm lugs strike a balance between grip and smooth transitions on firmer ground, including short road sections. The upper offers a secure heel hold with improved padding and a partially gusseted tongue to reduce movement and debris entry. The Speedgoat 7 is available in a standard and wide fit to help achieve a secure and comfortable fit.
